Long time, no post

So, this summer and fall has been chock-full of fun and trips and plenty of to-do lists. I have some photos that I’ll post eventually, maybe this weekend. One thing that I should mention is that I was asked to come photograph at General Conference again this year and even got a few in the [...]

Mineral Mountains Manventure

For the extended Memorial Day weekend we headed down to the Historic Land of Four Seasons (aka Beaver, UT) to visit the in-laws. It was pretty much raining all weekend in Salt Lake, so it was nice to get away from that. The weather has been crazy this year and all the mountains are still [...]

Goblin Valley Spring Break Trip: Day 2

The second day of our trip was spent at Goblin Valley. We rolled in at 10 am and the place was packed for Easter weekend. There were even law enforcement officers directing traffic in the parking lot. This is probably one of the best places for kids. There is no end to the climbing opportunities [...]

Goblin Valley Spring Break Trip: Day 1

For Spring Break this year we decided to pack it up and head down to the southern edge of the San Rafael Swell in central Utah. This is one of my absolute favorite places to visit. You may have noticed that I haven’t blogged much for the past few months. That has more to do [...]

Merry Christmas everyone!

Another year has passed and I’ve been working with these clowns for 5 years now. Dirk has moved on to greener pastures, but let me introduce you to Lindsey (far left). Work sure is a lot more fun when you are surrounded by awesome people, that are, um . . . full of tradition?
Happy Holidays [...]

St. George Ride

So I actually got permission from the mrs. to head out on another ride Saturday. I’ve been itching to check out some of the rides around St. George, and since it was about 30 degrees warmer than Beaver it was a no brainer. Mrs Scott and the in-laws dropped me off at the trailhead and [...]

Biking in Beaver

So this Thanksgiving with the in laws I decided to take along my mountain bike, and see if it would get warm enough for a ride. Luckily there is less than an inch of snow on the ground here, instead of the foot of snow in Salt Lake. Just before cabin fever set in this [...]

General Conference – Fall 2010 photos

Since the Conference issue of the Ensign is out now, I thought I better get these photos up while anyone still cares. The weather was amazing this year, I can’t remember a time when it was so pleasant. Anyway, here is what was published:

I was happy to see this shot printed full page (pg. 63). [...]

The trike-canoe after one year

So, let me introduce you to the trike-canoe (as my co-workers lovingly refer to it). It is actually just a terratrike tour recumbent tricycle with a coroplast tailbox that kind of resembles half of a canoe. I haven’t tried it yet, but I bet if I just pump up the front tires really big, it [...]

Lord of the Rings Halloween

This Halloween the Photo/Design/Events teams joined up for a group “Lord of the Rings” costume. It was pretty freaking awesome, and yes, we won the prestigious 1st place for a group costume and the accompanying pizza party. Finally.
We even had enough of the cast to put together a short trailer, roughly based on the original [...]
