Blogging from iphone app
So I’m loving all the apps that I have found for my iPod touch, including this one that let’s me update my blog with a sweet interface. I don’t usually blog text only entries, but this might just get me to start.

A few months ago my aunt and uncle, Greg and Cindy Yashko, called and asked if we could do a family photo. I was more than happy to do it since they were nice enough to let me live with them my first semester of USU. As far as I can remember our conversation went something like this:
Cindy: “Hey Scott, I was wondering if you would take a family photo for us if we get our crew together.”
Scott: “That would be great. I know a great spot where we can shoot. There are plenty of hobos, and we can even get some awesome tacos afterwards at this place I know.”
Cindy: “You don’t have to sell me. You had me at hobos.”
Needless to say, we quickly set up a day for the shoot.
This is Chad, and his friend. Whenever you meet a hobo, the first thing you want to ask yourself is, “am I dealing with a singing hobo or a stabbing hobo?” Chad is definitely a singing hobo, so I had no problem letting Parker and Keaton get close enough for a guitar lesson.
In all fairness, only Chad’s friend is an actual transient. Chad was just very drunk and sociable. He even claimed to own the building that served as our background. These two showed up while we were waiting for Liz and Brian to get there. I remembered seeing a small transient population at this little park in downtown Midvale before, but there were definitely more than usual on this particular Friday night. In the end it gave us a good story and something to laugh about, and nobody got stabbed.
We even got the photos done and the kids actually cooperated enough to get a few good shots. Of course we had to swap a few heads from other shots, but all in all it turned out good. Here are some of the photos:
A few weeks ago we hiked up to Rocky Mouth Falls with the kids after work. This is a very easy hike to do with the kids, even Keaton walked the whole way. The trailhead is right off Wasatch Drive, at about 11300 South.
These guys will hike anywhere if you tell them there is some water to throw rocks in. Even Berkley gets in on the action as much as mom will let him.
