Winter break in Southern Utah

So things are getting crazy again now that the holidays are over. We did get a chance to take a little break right after Christmas to Southern Utah. It was even warm enough to go swimming in the heated pool. The week after this trip I went to Orlando to photograph a conference and it was even nicer there. All that warm weather made it a little more bearable to come back to the ice and snow for a few more months.

This is Zion’s National Park seen reflected in the windows of a mud brick home found in the ghost town, Grafton, just outside the entrance.

Virgin Social Hall Parker

This is a detail of the exterior of a historic social hall in Virgin, Utah, that my great-great grandfather or something like that helped to build. And finally, Parker and Grandpa’s hat, while hiking the red cliffs above Saint George.
